About the Course
The two-years, full-time management programme, approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of India and affiliated to the Mahamaya Technical University, Noida (formerly U.P. Technical University, Lucknow) is one of the most sought after programme of IPEM. The MBA programme of IPEM aims to develop professionals with management excellence, social and cultural sensitivity, ethical responsibility and concern for the environment. The MBA Course aims to provide inputs to the students relevant to the business, industry and trade so that they can function in different organizations and face the challenges arising there from. The Course not only aims at providing knowledge and skills in different areas of management, but also helps in developing overall personality of the students. Right from the beginning of the Course, the focus is on upgrading the knowledge of the student through suitable pedagogy like lectures, case discussion/ analysis, simulation games, Role-Plays etc.

Admission Process:
Eligibility : Bachelor degree of minimum three years duration with 50% marks in any discipline and/or as prescribed by GBTU,                    Lucknow or U.P State Govt.
Selection Criteria : : For admission through University seats, students have to appear in examination of the Mahamaya Technical University, Noida (formerly U.P. Technical University, Lucknow). For direct category seats, students should qualify Management Aptitude Test (MAT) or any other National Level Test like CAT/XMAT/ JMAT etc.conducted by All India Management Association which will be followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview at IPEM as per directive of the U.P. State Govt./AICTE/ Gautam Budh Technical University.
 
 
Course Structure & Curriculum :
It is a two year Full Time course which is divided into four semesters, each semester is having eight compulsory papers of 40 sessions. There is a system of Dual Specialization and an Open Specialization. The structure of the Course is designed in a way that students have to study the core courses from different functional areas of management that are made compulsory in first year and in the second year specializations are offered in functional areas where the students can opt for two specializations out of the five offered i.e. Marketing, Finance, IT, HR and International Business and one Open Specialization. The students will have to opt for two functional areas for their specialization, having four papers (two in third semesters and two in the fourth semester) from Specialization 1, three papers (two in third semester and one in fourth semester) from Specialization 2. Students will also have to choose any one elective from the given four subjects as an open Specialization in fourth semester. Summer Training for 6/8 weeks is compulsory for every student pursuing the Course, which they have to undergo between second and third semester. Comprehensive Viva-Voce and Research Project are part of the Course.

Training & Placement Activities:
Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) at IPEM is the most developed and functions actively for corporate resources needs for the institution. A variety of training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards development of students appearing for the Campus Placement and Summer Training. The CRC maintains a good network and database of companies which are invited for Summer Training and Final Placements in the Campus. The CRC is sensitized to function all through the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the students. The CRC is also instrumental in organizing Guest Speakers, Industrial Visits and Live Projects for the students. The basic thrust is on creating a very vibrant interface of the industry with our students. This helps the students to develop a true insight of the work culture and desired professional requirement and helps them to develop a vivid outlook and perspective towards corporate life.

Today’s competitive environment has tremendously put in heavy responsibility on the conduct of higher education, especially in the field of management. We at IPEM have taken this challenging & noble task not only by providing quality education but also ensuring all-round development of young & future managers. In this regard, we have tried to make our PGDM Program extensively Industry oriented by means of regular Industrial Exposure Activity. To fulfill this requirement, PGDM students are regularly sent for visit to various Organizations of different industries.
 
Guest Lecture
The Experts in various fields covering the topics from the Course Curriculum like Supply Chain Management, Marketing, and Finance etc. regularly appraise our students and gives in-depth knowledge about the current Industry happenings.
 
Two foreign languages (German & French)
The IPEM Group of Institutions organize German and French Classes for its PGDM, MBA and MCA Students, to give adequate exposure to the contemporary and latest trends in the Industry/Corporate and to bridge the gap between Business Strategy and the students capabilities, thereby enhancing their overall performance and making them suitable for the jobs.
 
Project Report
Students are required to prepare a project report on the basis of their exposure to corporate practices/training which is supervised by the industry and faculty mentors.
 
Mock Interview Sessions & GD
Students are provided with ample opportunities to participate in G.D and Interviews. A regular interaction of this types helps to develop leadership skills and boost confidence level
 
Assignments & Case Study
Students of various disciplines like Marketing, Finance, HR, IT etc. are assigned projects by the Institute which enhance their research, analytical and presentation skills. Strategies adopted by the organizations are taught to the students through the Case Study Method in analyzing and solving live business problems.
 
Presentations
The Institute aims at enhancing the overall personality of the students. Both individual and team presentations help in developing the desired communication and presentation skills of the students.
 
Mentoring & PDP
The Institute encourage Mentor-Mentee relationship between Teacher and students. Mentoring Programme for the students is in place to prepare and equip them with requisite skills to face the corporate world with the counseling of their mentors. Personality Development Programme (PDP) sessions help in building self-awareness and develop positive attitude to manage time and stress. Feedback on important traits is delivered through supportive counseling sessions by experts.
 
Field & live project
Every student has to carry out a project under the guidance of a faculty member on a topic of his/her choice. This will give the student an opportunity to showcase his / her analytical skills & put into practice the Conceptual Knowledge acquired in the class room for the specialization.
 
Seminars
The students at IPEM are given exposure to latest practices of corporate world by organizing National Level Seminars where experts from the industry are invited to deliberate on specific issues. Students are not only participants as audience but also as organizers which ultimately hone their managerial skills. Participation of students in seminars held by the Institute gives them rich exposure in specialized areas of Management & IT.

The Sports & Yoga Club brings a fusion of the body and the mind. Sports & Yoga at the IPEM are the cornerstone of a student’s holistic development. We believe in crafting not just good managers but molding them into all-round individuals. Yoga classes are also held for our students regularly to improve their body and soul.
