Prof.(Col)A.S. Malhotra, (Retd.) is a gold metalist of his Degree Engineering course; stood first in the University in the Master of Engineering and did the Systems Engineering Course in Hungary. He is also a graduate of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. He took voluntary retirement from thearmy after serving for 25 years in various command, staff and teaching appointments. For his distinguished service, outstanding loyalty and devotion toduty, he was awarded the Chief of Army Staff's Commendation, twice ( a raredistinction then). Immediately, thereafter, he joined the Indian Institute ofTechnology, Delhi (IIT Delhi) where he served for 13 years and got richexperience in the best possible academic environment. Col Malhotra was declared as the "Star of IIT Delhi" for his valuable contributions to the Institute. Besides, teaching and practical experience of 38 years, he has attended /organized a number of seminars / workshops / extra-curricular activities. He iswidely traveled all over the world and is a Fellow / Member of manyProfessional Institutions & Bodies.
