The Course:This
course aims at preparing effective secondary school teachers,
who are capable of responding to the changing need of the
modern Indian society.The course enables perspective teachers
to understand the nature, purpose and philosophy of secondary
education; acquire competencies relevant to stage specific
pedagogy,curriculum development,its transaction & evaluation;to
foster creative thinking among pupils and utilize community
resources as educational inputs. The Course also aims at developing
among the perspective teacher, an understanding of psychology
of their pupils:communication skills,use of modern information
technology for school purposes and awareness about role of
education in building up a democratic,secular and socialistic
pattern of society.
